Coal Bed Methane Development for 12th FYP to introduced soon

As cited from Shanghai Securities News, the ‘ Development and Utilization of Coal Bed Methane for the 12th Five-Year Plan’ established by the National Energy Administration of China will be introduced soon, with which, CBM exploration and development as well as the standards of extraction are expected to be enhanced significantly.
The ‘Plan’ proposes that the output of CBM will reach 21 bln sq. m. in 2015 and of which, 9 bln sq. m. will be extracted from ground and be fully utilized; coal mine and gas extraction will account for 12 bln sq. m., with utilization rate of above 60%; gas power generation capacity will exceed 2.85 mln kilowatt, used by over 3.2 mln households
